Jamil Lahham is a seasoned animation director and director, with over 15 years of experience in the animation industry. Notably, he directed the animation for the Academy Award-winning short film The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore.
His classical Fine Arts training and extensive background in feature films, advertising, and Virtual Reality offers him a critical understanding of the value of entertainment through acting, performance, and storytelling.
Jamil’s aesthetic sensibilities draw influence from Anime, Classic Cinema, and Western animation. His work carries a distinct personal touch, characterized by a departure from the overly polished visuals. Instead, he embraces the raw, imperfect qualities of animation and filmmaking that results in a more organic and bold artistic expression. This approach can be best seen in all his personal short films and vignettes.
